RETA is a ceramic retarder designed for NANO-CERAMIC paint and coating systems when longer open time is needed during application. It helps slow flash-off in hot or dry conditions so the coating can level more evenly and build more cleanly across second and third coats.

Prep Notes

Best used in hot or dry conditions, on larger panels, on vertical surfaces, or on very smooth non-absorbent substrates where the coating may flash too quickly. RETA is meant to improve workability, not replace proper setup, temperature control, or spray technique.

How to Apply

Mix the coating system according to its normal instructions.
Add RETA only when longer flash time is needed.
Mix thoroughly before spraying or applying the coating.
Apply in thin, even coats and monitor flow and leveling as you work.
Use only as needed based on temperature, dryness, panel size, and application behavior.
