Permanent matte ceramic protection for surfaces that need durability without gloss.

SI12 is a 2-component transparent matte ceramic topcoat built for long-term surface protection. It forms a hard, hydrophobic ceramic layer that helps resist water, dirt, pollutants, UV exposure, and chemical attack while preserving a low-sheen matte appearance. Use it where you want the protective benefits of a permanent coating system without adding a glossy finish.

  • H9 hardness
  • Matte finish
  • Permanent hydrophobic effect
  • Anti-corrosion protection
  • UV and chemical resistance
  • Reduced cleaning intervals

What It Protects Against

Water intrusion, dirt buildup, pollutants, UV exposure, chemical attack, corrosion, weathering, and premature surface wear

Finish

Transparent matte

Thickness

25 microns per coat; build to 50 or 75 microns in multi-coat applications

How to Apply

  1. Clean and fully dry the surface.
  2. Mix the 2-component system thoroughly according to product instructions.
  3. Apply 1 to 3 coats depending on the required build and service life.
  4. Use additional coats where greater durability, waterproofing, or longer-term protection is needed.
  5. Allow the coating to cure fully before returning the surface to service.

Important Prep Notes

Apply only to a clean, dry, properly prepared surface. In corrosive conditions or where the substrate has adhesion or absorption issues, use an appropriate primer. For projects where crack visibility matters, a white base layer underneath can make future inspection and repair easier. Best results are achieved when the coating can build a proper protective film on the surface rather than soaking into a weak or poorly prepared substrate.
